Many people want several different elements to their career in order to keep it varied and some love to be able to stay within the same sector, but also to jump between different roles every three or four years. There arent many careers that offer either of those elements, but engineering certainly is one. Being an engineer allows for numerous opportunities thanks to the roles versatile nature, and the need for such jobs in so many areas ensures that there is always demand for an engineer somewhere. Taking on the challenge of engineering could see you work in such sectors as aerospace, architecture, design, the nuclear industry, electronics and the automotive industry. Here are a few examples of what roles you could take on with comprehensive skills as an engineer, whether youre looking for nuclear careers or a job with Honda. Nuclear Project Engineer This is a role for a very experienced engineer, someone who has a degree in an engineering related degree at a decent grade and is a job that has many responsibilities. Other responsibilities involve testing support management, completing manufacturing drawings, supporting equipment specification and supplier specification, as well as working on propulsion system analysis. A degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering is a must for such a role, experience in the industry will also be imperative, as will a good understanding of electronics and electrical engineering.
